03 Stampin' Up - All in the Family - Japan
I borrowed this amazing Stampin' Up stamp set called "All in the Family"
(see below). I had to sketch before I start stampin on it. I only
coloured in the faces, skin & hair; all clothing are stamped on the
coloured / patterned paper, cut & stick on it. I requested all
individuals what type/ colours of shirts, pants etc they wanted, so this
was one of the tough piece of work. Oh my; I am grad finally I finish
this. This is now air mailed to Japan for special someone ... I hope
they like it.

06 Patch an Owl cards
New 2011 Woodware stamp set called "Patch An Owl" (£10). Yes, I bought
this stamp set after I attended a class @ The Glitter Pot in Surrey.
I heard from few people that Francoise Read is one of the very
professional card crafter before I attended the class but truly,
seriously, she was really good in every way. Prepared well in advance so
that we had everything we need to make a card, all cut into the right
sizes, good paper selection (latest!), using ribon, punches, stamping,
could choose paper colours etc. I was truly satisfied! She was
previously a teacher (?) so as you can imagine, noob like me could
follow her easily all the way.
We made two card above in the morning; Oh my; so nice!

23 Stamping Bella - Noa the Computer guy
This is one of my LOVEin stamps from very rare "Stamping Bella"
collection for someone very special computer/ science boy. Lots of
colours used as always & some butts. Bought some @ Craft Barn shop in
Surrey. Their "Stamping Bella" collection is huge and as far as I know,
they are the only one sells in the UK. B'cos I LOVE them so much, I
even emailed US head office to send more to the UK!! I really did!
You can't see it properly but the image is 3D; pensil is cut-out, some
parts of his hair, and laptop lid too. I went for little details with
this card.
Hope he likes it - Happy Birthday Alex :) with big hug x

19 Happy Birthday Josh L!
I love this card! This is from Stamping Bella collection called "Spencer
the Bookworm". A very quick card for a special boy! I bought this from
Craft Barn @ Surrey few months ago. As far as I am aware, they are the
only UK supplier has "stamping bella" collection and they do have huge
collections there"! I remember I spent ages looking @ them! "Ages" mean
several hours! Really! I guess their stamps are imported from US, it is
not cheap stamps. I am hoping many people will buy it more then the
price might fall a little?! So go & buy some now!
Stamping Bella site (US) has totally different stamps from Craft Barn
shop. I guess we have the "old" collection here in the UK. I can't wait
to see the new collection in the UK soon (please)!
A very happy birthday to you Josh & study hard please!
Big hug & lots of Love, from Mika xxx

13 LotV's Lazy Afternoon
As many card-crafter will know where the stamp image comes from; I am
one of the big fan of LotV's (Lili of the Valley) stamp collection. They
are just so lovely. I was really disappointed from the last purchase
from them (didn't get my items for at least 3 weeks"!), I thought I will
never buy anything from there (!) but "accidentally" I saw few new stamp
collection, how could I NOT... Bought "few" once again...
The price is good. Below £4 each is superb price I say. They all come
with "unmounted" so you have to glue onto blocks to use it (that's
probably the only thing I do not like).
Please just look @ the photo above - it is gorgeously done indeed - some
did not like the card tho :( but I will ignore HIM! I guess the card
looks a bit girly made... Putting flowers somehow made a bit girly but I
tried to use the flower colour "light" so it doesn't stand up too much.
I needed to use bigger card so I didn't know what to do with such big
spaces around it - I didn't have much other choices.
Hope you enjoyed the card above b'cos I just LOVE it!

28 My Master Piece card
I was waiting for this day to put this amazing card that I made for
someone very special. I made this card a year ago so double sided tapes
are starts to show at the top... I spent several hours to complete such
detailed b-day card for someone!
This is one of my master piece as of today!!!
He loves yacht, swimming, fishing, has few detailed sun burn marks of
his polo shirts, sandal, watch and trouser mark too on his skin. Also
loves that strawberry bright-green underwear that people just laugh
at.... He has a big yellow duck on the yacht & his bathroom, with
seagull's poo landed on top his head before too... Oh gosh, I could not
go more details than that in the tiny little card!
Well, hope he liked it... because I just LOVE this card!!

17 Owww
Continue from yesterday's blog - this is made in the afternoon card
making class @ Glitter Pot (first visit to the shop!). Also Gaynor's
original idea for Men card. Men card idea is always tricky. Loved
cutting out little pieces & piled up with silicon blue. I think this
type of technique is my favourite thing in card making. I didn't buy the
stamp it is because I didn't have any idea of who to give the card to...
I like it tho.
The stamp is quite big so just to fit on 5" square card & there is a
girl owl stamp also available to buy. I think good paper selection too
by Gaynor. It is truly sad that I can not see her card in the shop
anymore. Really miss her card... Please come back!

15 Have a nice bath :)
My sizzix has saved my day; made a quick card for my friend - Nick. He
is crazy, really, but truly lovely person. I wasn't sure about his hair
(I'm talking about the card above...) but it does look like him from the
picture here. Don't ask me why pink underware is there; I will leave
that to your imagination (dirty boy@!).
I could of done better especially on the very white background area
(using distress ink or chalk etc); I just didn't have much stuff with me
at that time (away from home). My sizzix machine has not been used for a
while so I made my effort to take the machine out from the storage room.
I'm glad I did this - love sizzix machine especially this (bath tab) is
my favourite. Sentiment was used from the Woodware Cocktail stamp
collection. Just happened to have one spare on the day.
*****************************
My very first bath tab card was given to my male work colleague who is
always surfing on the net called "aussieBum" (www.aussiebum.com) in the
office. I just can't explain the site on my blog (please do have a look
@ the site"!); it is too much... What I did on that card was that I
printed out all the pants photo from his favourite site (approx. 20
pants!) and I ended up cutting out of all male models (that was well too
much to handle....). Then I piled the pants next to the bath tab & also
some pants were hanging above the tab to dry with wahing line & wooden
clip attached to the card. That is probably my best card that I made so
far. Some of my work colleagues has offered me £20 for that card! I can
not believe I didn't take photo of it. I am planning to make one again
very soon for someone special so stay tuned!
Hope you like the card too :)
